"Perpetual Art" and "Perpetual Art" Projections

"Perpetual Art" is a stand-alone computer appication that provides a robust, diverse array of programs that are meant to be displayed either on a large format television or projected in large scale for entertainment purposes.

Perpetual Art can be "personalized" for business with company logos and information, for use in "narrow-casting" of inter-office or corporate uses.

Perpetual Art can be run either on Macintosh/Apple or Windows platforms.

The programs available for projection may be utilized in private homes, gallery spaces, offices, and multi-purpose venues. The images can be projected in interior spaces or exterior spaces, such as on the outside of buildings; on a grand scale. Doctor's offices, dental offices, lawyer offices, etc. can all take adavantage of a never-ending, infinite product that can produce literally billions of combinations to display.

The programs can either take user imputs, in the form of numbers entered by the user, or simply rely on the "Random" version of the programs to render the images. The choice is up to the user.

Feel like being part of the creative process? Simply open the interface and type in a few numbers, then click the "Run Program" button.

In an hurry and want the show to begin? Select the "Random Program" option and click a button. The program does the rest.

The programs employ consumer inputs, uses them to start the process, then the COMPUTER is allowed to add random elements and pararameters to complete the computations. The resulting images are completely non-repetitive and most likely won't EVER be repeated. There are just too many varables to have a displayed image repeated. This process is a true cooperative effort between a human and a computer.

The images changes as often or seldom as the user decides.

This image is an animated "morphing shape" that moves across the screen or wall. This is NOT a video image, but an actually image being produced and animated by the program. A video feed would loop, and repeat over and over.....this program constantly produces hundreds of thousands of calculations to produce new results every time.

The images changes as often or seldom as the user decides.

This image is a group of circles that are slowly drifting over a subtle gradation that is constantly changing. This is NOT a video image, but an actually image being produced and animated by the program. A video feed would loop, and repeat over and over.....this program constantly produces hundreds of thousands of calculations to produce new results every time.

The program changes the gradated background every 30 to 40 seconds. The results are meant to be soothing and tranquil, perhaps meditative.

A Morphing Shape "Perpetual Art" Program.

The Morphing Shape programs display several versions of a shape that meanders across the field of view while changing semblance. The program randomly provides one to six of the shapes to create a never-ending variances. Many of the shapes consist of beautiful gradations.

The backgrounds can be chosen by the user, or chosen randomly by the program. Solid colors or subtle gradations for backgrounds are both available.

As with some of the other choices, this program provides an interface to allow the client to designate parameters, or simply go "fully random" and have the computer make all decisions about palette and background.

A Color Field "Perpetual Art" Program.

The Color Field images are vast expanses of gradated colors that slowly evolve from one to another. Either random colors can be chosen, or choose a certain "family" of colors. The effect is meant to fill the room with the cognitive properties of each color family.

As with many of the programs, the results are meant to be soothing and tranquil, perhaps meditative.

A Circles in Lanes "Perpetual Art" Program.

Three separate "lanes" of various sized circles filled with gradient colors, with different opacities, move back and forth over a colorful, animated, GRADATED background. The top and bottom lanes begin by moving in the same direction, and the center lane moves in opposition.

Click the reload button to get different random colors of the three "lanes" of movement.

A Dots "Perpetual Art" Program.

Several circles of diverse sizes float lazily around the screen, in front a pleasing, gradated background.

Every 40 seconds, the background gradation changes in color and intensity.

The User Interface of the Perpetual Art Program. (There is a vertical layout as well, if the client desires.)

This displays the program selctions. The user can choose from 29 different programs to display, including several "randomizing" programs that will automatically display random programs from a group, for differing amounts of time.

For each program button on the interface, there is a small thumbnail image of the visual aspects of that particular program.

When clicking on the thumbnail image, a page will appear, displaying a larger image of the program visuals, plus a short explanation, or description.

Here is a small video of the Perpertual Art Program titled "Morphing 2." Remember, this is a screen-captured video of the actual program running in real time. As a sample, this video will replay itself over and over, unlike the actual program that regenerates itself each time it completes a cycle, and will be different visually in shape, color, scale, and background.

It is virturally impossible to have a repeat of a previous animation due to the hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of calculations done each time.

Upon purchase of the full versions, users can choose between the completely random version, or a version that will implement inputs from the user. The programs are versatile and can be as complex or simple as desired.

The word that is being displayed is printed below the image.

It will refresh every 10 seconds to let you try and discover the pattern of the words.

These can be mass-produced as inexpensive prints for large scale placement, or printed as high quality Giclee’s with archival inks, as “fine-art” prints.

Images can be produced with many different palettes.

These images can also be produced with a variety of background colors. The palettes are almost endless. From warm to cool, bright to low-key, any mood or feeling can be achieved.

Other possible uses besides “Wall Art”:

A. The programs I have written can be projected onto a wall or screen in large scale.

B. The programs can be made so that the images being projected are produced at random,
miigiving a virtually never-ending display of images.

C. The images can be either projected OR displayed on a large screen television screen at home, office, or events.

D. User inputs could potentially be a part of the interface, so the client have some degree of interaction with the actual program
miiitself.
